Basheerinte Premalekhanam (2017) A village uses only one radio, which belongs to Hussain Haji (Joy Mathew), the Panchayath president, for entertainment. Everyone in the village, without discrimination based on social status, religion or caste, used to go to their homes to listen to drama performances, which were common on the radio later in the evening. They all sit on the balcony with a radio in the middle listening to the show. One day Usman (Manikandan Achari), Hamid's sister's son who is in Dubai, hands them a black-and-white television. He is supposed to marry Zuhra (Sanaa Althaf), Hamid's only daughter who is in her second year in the English and Literature department at a nearby college. The advent of television changed things. Their home has changed. Just like the entire village got its first television.
